Ohio Historic Preservation 2019 Update
The City of Kent’s Community Development Department is required to complete an environmental review of all activities that are assisted with state and/or federal funding. A part of this environmental review includes sending information about the activity to the Ohio Historic Preservation Office (OHPO) if the activity involves a structure that is 50 years of age or older.
The City has a programmatic agreement with the OHPO which identifies certain activities that are exempt from OHPO review. For activities that are considered exempt, the City compiles a list each year and makes it available to the public through the City’s website. View the 2019 exempt activities here.
